I haven’t posted in a few days; however, I have been drinking and enjoying several new teas. Last week, I was thrilled to place and receive a tea order from Dragonwater. Black Apricot was my tea of choice. However, I cannot take credit for this extraordinary find. Kim, a tea buddy of mine, introduced Black Apricot to me recently during a tea lunch. I simply could not wait any longer to add this tea to my personal stash.
Composition: Black tea, apricot bits (apricots, sugar), sunflower petals, flavoring.
Dry Visual: Dark brown almost black loose tea leaves with happy yellow sunflower petals.
Dry Aroma: Delicious! The smell of apricot is simply amazing. Not artificial, but the smell of fresh picked and dried apricots.
Flavor: Delicious! When prepared according to the brewing instructions, Black Apricot is one of the best black teas I have enjoyed in a long time. The black tea is robust, yet not bitter, while the apricot provides wonderful sweetness. I could drink this tea without sweetener, but I prefer a little honey. It enhances the natural sweetness of the apricot. Black Apricot would make a great iced tea!
Liquor: Golden brown.
