My fondest “apple memory” occurred during my surprise birthday party when I turned 21. Knowing my love for apple pie, traditional birthday cake was bypassed, for several oven baked, crumb topped apple pies – a la mode. It was sublime!
Therefore, when visiting Authori+ea tea blog, I was intrigued by the Apple Oolong tea review. I was even more excited when the blog author suggested a tea swap that would include…the very same Apple Oolong.
Composition: Oolong tea leaves with real apple pieces.
Dry Visual: A mixture of brown colored leaves with subtle touches of green and chunky apple pieces. Apple Oolong resembles gunpowder tea, although there were several twigs evident in the mixture.
Dry Aroma: Absolutely delicious! The smell of freshly sliced apples dominate the bouquet. Driven by my sense of smell, I took my Apple Oolong sample to work to share with two friends – tea lovers, I should add. If I could eat handfuls of this loose tea I would – it smelled edible.
