When leaving for vacation, I packed several Golden Moon Teas. No particular reason other than I am a last minute packer; therefore, I found myself zipping my bags a 2:00 a.m. Friday morning. This would not have been such a terrible thing if I did not have to wake up at 7:00 a.m. to prepare for our road-trip.
Nevertheless, my last tea review focused on Orchid Temple Oolong by Golden Moon and this review will share my experience with Sugar Caramel Oolong – also by Golden Moon.
Composition: Green Oolong leaves infused with sugar-caramel flavor.
Dry Visual: Various shades of green with hints of brown, Sugar Caramel Oolong reminds me of military camouflage. It is pressed into a ball-like form similar to gunpowder tea.
Dry Aroma: Very sweet like the smell of homemade caramel.
Flavor: Sugar Caramel Oolong has a definite sweet flavor. Initially, I brewed according to the instructions, but found the tea did not have a robust enough flavor for my liking – thus I brewed an extra minute. Sugar Caramel Oolong can be enjoyed with or without sweetener; however, my definite preference is with sweetener. After adding honey, I could taste the sugar-caramel flavor. Immediately, I was reminded of the taste of burnt sugar found on creme brulee. What a treat!
Liquor: Golden brown – more gold and less brown.

Thank you for the nice review of our tea.
