Thanks to a recent tea swap with Kim, my co-worker, I had the opportunity to try another great tea. As you know, I am constantly on the prowl to find that one fabulous tea that will convert my husband into a tea drinker. Thus when I made this tea, Honeybush Vanilla, it was with my husband in mind.
Not only has neither of us ever enjoyed Honeybush Vanilla, this was Mike’s first time drinking rooibos. It was with great excitement that I poured us both a cup.
So lets talk about this latest tea adventure…
Composition: Honeybush (rooibos) from South Africa, flavoring, vanilla bits, marigold petals. According to Dragonwater’s website, Honeybush Vanilla is flavored with genuine Bourbon vanilla.
Dry Visual: A beautiful red hue with mahogany and brown interspersed within the tea. The marigold leaves add zest to the overall presentation of this brew. Unlike other rooibos teas I have sampled, Honeybush Vanilla resembles miniature wood chips.
Dry Aroma: mmmm….. I loved the smell of the Honeybush Vanilla. The vanilla was dominant.
Flavor: Other rooibos teas I previously brewed and enjoyed cannot compare to Honeybush Vanilla. This tea is absolutely delicious! The honeybush is naturally sweet while the addition of vanilla creates an added dimension creating a full-bodied tea. I was amazed by the creaminess of this tea. Enjoyable both with and without sweetener, I prefer Honeybush Vanilla with a little honey - the added sweetness hit the spot!
Manufacturer: Dragonwater
