Good Morning!
I managed to post this on Monday as promised last week. Nevertheless, when thinking about all of the opportunities I had to try a new tea, I must admit that I spent the week drinking favorites… expect for the one new tea that found itself in my cup. You might think that is uneventful; however, I must confess that the tea I had was so delicious that I drank multiple cups in conjunction with my old faithful blends.
This week, I’ll have to live vicariously through you, my fellow tea aficionados. What was new in your cup?
1. bookoftea enjoyed several new black teas last week. Including: an Assam tea bag by Taylor of Harrogate; English Teatime tea bag by Bigelow; Gingerbread, a flavored Ceylon tea, from Tealuxe; and Bond Street English Breakfast Blend, a blend of Assam and Ceylon tea, from Upton Tea Imports. When asked which of the four new teas were her favorite… the Gingerbread was selected overall. To read more about bookoftea’s tea adventure follow the link: http://bookoftea.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/gingerbread/
2. As you know, I had the opportunity to enjoy Coconut Pouchong. A deliciously clean tasting tea with a coconut kick! You can catch the review here on my blog - Tea Escapade.
Now that you know what we have been drinking, I would love to hear from you. What teas have you been drinking? Green, black, white, pu-erh, red, flavored, herbal? What did you like or dislike about your tea of choice? Flavor, aroma, price?
What would you recommend to your fellow tea lovers this week?
Let’s Chat…

I’m not a big leaf tea drinker, but I couldn’t get through the day without my ginseng (american, don’t like the korean. I forget what that means about my ying and yang balance, but it means something!) and yummiest of all licorice root.
tattytiara,
I don’t know the difference between the american and korean ginseng. I’ll have to look it up.
I have never tasted ginseng tea. I’ll have to put it on my list of teas to try. What brand do you prefer? and What do you like about it?
